Today, inside the Pooka Pure and Simple Show room, I'll be talking the founder and my sistah friend, Dawn Fitch (and yes Pooka Pure and Simple IS fun to say). Dawn was featured in many magazines including Black Enterprise, More Magazine, WWD, The New York Times, and this year in Essence Magazine as one of their top 20 Beauty Brands.
Little did Dawn know, that indirectly, she was part of the reason why this podcast was created. She gave me an opportunity to settle and grow my business which I am immensely grateful for. Because Dawn is the epitome of grace, when I told her this her comment was: “We all take turns inspiring each other and lifting each other up.”
Dawn founded Pooka Pure and Simple which offers irresistible body butters, body oils and so much more. Her products are available online and in various Whole Foods Markets.
Dawn tries to find the funny in everything. However, when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2007, she needed support more than laughs. So, she reached out to her tribe and a new journey began.
